Default Track season is coming!

For all the people who have been wanting to try, here's your chance.

The first couple weeks of April there's 3 events that are quite convenient:

April 5 - VCMC @ Mission (www.vcmc.ca)
April 10 (good friday!) - PCA @ Pacific Raceway http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm
April 13 (easter monday!) - PDC @ Mission (sign up available @ www.performancedriversclub.org after March 15)

If you don't have any experience, I encourage you to try out the PDC event. First timers get morning classroom instructional (driving techniques, lines, etc) and get in car instruction all day. May be a little slow paced for some, but gotta learn to crawl before you walk..

Anyhow, I should be hitting up all 3 events, hope to see some VIC'ers!

Crappy. I'll be at California SpeedwAy for the week.

I would suggest u guys signing up for the VCMC one if it's not full already. It's the only resonably price mission Trackday I know of. I think I paid $160 or something like that last year.

Good bunch of guys. Instructors are provided for beginners as well.

Nobody wants to take their cars to the track and find out how fun it is? All these events are a DEFINITE and you don't even have to take time off work!

Can a mod change the title to something more interesting?? LOL!

Hey, I just realized you could make use of the tow hook .. well hopefully not actually.

As far as I know, PDC = $40 membership, $199 for the event. VCMC cost me $40 for renewal, then $190 for the event.

But do budget for gas (I average a tank a day and a bit per lapping day..) as well..

I'll have to see closer to the date. I need my fenders rolled to put my wheels/tires on too before.

I've tracked a few times, very fun times

Although I'm usually stuck behind a douchebag who wont let me pass.

Bleh, I've made the jump to rally, and it runs all year round

Just come out of the corner really fast and get on their ass. Half of your car sticking out on the driver side so they can see you in the mirror. That usually works but kind of dangerous. Once you get to the more advanced groups people look into their mirrors more. That's what racing is all about anyways.

Wow.. I could only dream of such fuel economy. The last track day at PR I used around 150L in a day. I brought down 8 x 20L gas cans and the last one only had a little bit of gas left.

Free hookers and blow would work! LOL.

007WRX: sign up, then worry about rolling your fenders. No excuses

alcoolaid- even in advanced, there are morons who won't let you pass due to their egos.. "i have a porsche, why would i let this japanese car pass me".. frustrating. but with that said, you'd mostly find that @ club events. my experience with proformance lapping days is that they're pretty good

I do come out of the corners fast. It just happened that I was stuck behind this 1 certain car, and it took 4 laps of being glued to his ass until I finally got the wave for a pass.

4 laps? I'd honk him by the 2nd passing zone
