Default how long does it take for a cooling system to be stable?

Im looking at replacing my rad... however, 2 days later, i will be going for a track day. i was wondering if it will be wise to do the upgrade in such a time. i understand theres a need to burp the system. However, may i ask how long does it take for the entire system to be all well and good?

It shouldn't take that long. Do a proper bleeding of the system and you shouldn't have any problems.

Typically when I replace coolant, I have the front end jacked up into the air. I don't have to burp the system at all. I just add fluid, run the engine and top off the recovery tank after the first time I get the engine to operating temp.

These engines need to be burped because they get air pockets in them. My theory is that jacking the front end up reduces the area for air pockets to form.

As for the track day, watch your temp and come in if the needle starts to move. I never needed more than 1-2 heating/cooling cycles to get mine topped off.
