Default cheap OBD-II reader..?

so my car threw another CEL - last three times it's only been something like a loose gas cap or whatever.

I'm debating on getting a ScanGuageII to play with or just a cheap OBD-II reader so I can pull/erase codes.

what do you guys think..? ScanGuageII vs something cheap

AND - does anybody know where I could pick up a cheap OBD-II reader..?

I love my ScanGauge... Sooo much more than a simple OBD II code reader.

Check out this cable.

It should be able to read/log using the many different freely available software on the web. And some people can even flash their ECU with it.

scangauge FTW.
But mine is now faulty, as the display lights of blue and red are now non-functional. But the place I purchased the item; gifford automative states that I still have a year warranty, and they've sent me a new one this week (still on delivery), as I have to return the faulty one.

excellent service , excellent product
