Question help with potential buy

I have a m.y. 2000 Impreza RT lined up to buy, but i need advice.
the current owner, first owner, has modded it out here are the specs...
==============================================
short shifter
20mm rear sway bar
front skidplate
STi motor mounts
Whiteline front swaybar endlinks and bushings
custom turbo kit
IHI VF10 turbo with wastegate (5 lbs)
turbo headers and up-pipe
Legacy turbo crossmember
Subaru BOV
Subaru air-water intercooler
custom 2.5" downpipe with hi-flow cat
190 lph Walbro fuel pump
Vortech 4:1 FMU
J&S safeguard
Autometer Phantom boost and EGT gauges
==============================================

now, the car had a fender bender in the rear, which resulted in the rear fender having to be repainted. and there was a side impact where two of the doors had to be replaced. he claims that all bent metal was replaced, there was no frame damage. he is asking $11k for this car. its a 2000 model year with 26k miles on it. im a poor college student, and i think this is the closest ill get to the mighty WRX. Opinions please...

here are some pics

if you're not sure about the wreck damage, take it to a mechanic and ask them to take a look at it for you.

BUt remember a turbo on that car could mean a lot more hidden expenses in the long run if you like to "drive"

i'm a friend of john's and he is on this site. He is very wheel known for the most part and he did a really good job building up this car. The reason he has been forced to sell it is because he has a baby boy and the rs is just not practicle enough for him. It's a steal. BUY IT!!!!!!!

Before this thread becomes a religious war, let me answer some questions:

http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthr...hreadid=155831

Look familiar? How about the username?

Blue book on a 2000 RS is 15.5-16.2.

Not to rain on your parade, but I am not selling the car for 11 grand. I have already turned down offers that are higher.

280HP REX, you just MIGHT want consider buying this car!

Geese blaster, your nearly giving this car away man.....

If it means anything to you 280HP REX, I have nearly this same setup on my car, a 2001 RS-T, and it runs AWESOME!

I think its a heck of lot cooler looking in the engine bay and seeing nearly all Subaru factory parts. From my time here on the board, all I know is blaster88's car has run well, with no problems to MY knowledge (except of course the rear-end collision). This car could very well keep up with/beat a WRX, and expect quarter mile times in the low 14's, high 13's depending on how you drive it.

All in all, you are getting one hell of deal on low mileage RS, not to add its turbocharged!

Not blaming you, just trying to make sure people don't get the wrong idea.

My car is well known on the board, and particularly in this forum.

This is exactly the right place to ask the questions.

-- See, some of the higher offers I have turned down are on this board, so I don't want them thinking I am playing some kind of game with them.

Cool?

You ought to ask in Mid Atlantic.

A lot of people have ridden in it and seen it before and after the accident.

You will get good feedback from the crew down there.
