Default 02 WRX + 140k Miles + 20G + Meth = 335whp!

Here's an interesting tune we did yesterday...

This is an 02 WRX with almost 140k miles on it... and still running strong!

Here's the setup:

TD05-20G - 7cm hotside / 2.4" inlet
SSAC FMIC
DW750cc Injectors
Perrin Big MAF Intake
Hallman MBC
SMC Meth Injection Kit - 50/50 mix
Cobb AP V2
EQ Tuning Custom Tune on 91 Octane + Meth

Considering the high mileage engine, we kept the tune conservative at about 21psi with a safe a/f and relaxed timing. It still made for a very quick bugeye!

Here's the chart:

Thanks

Forgot to mention that this thing was also hitting full boost around 3700RPM in 3rd gear and we were seeing 20.6psi in 1st gear! Not bad at all for a 20G on a 2.0l.

Wow I commend you on your bravery. Definitely gives hope to all the other high mileage bugeyes including me. LOL

Curious on what you had on there before and if you did a compression/leakdown test prior to the install.

Sweet! Good numbers. What type of dyno? Looks like it might have hit 340awhp if you wrapped it out to 7200 or so.

Gives me hope. I'm about to install:

- Blouch TD05 20G 7cm
- STi TMIC
- Walbro 255
- Modded stock injectors
- Grimmspeed BCS

Hoping for 300awhp on a Dyno Dynamics running 93 octane on a stock 2.0 with 80k on it.

This is my proprietary road dyno software that consistently reads within a couple whp of the lower reading Mustang Dynos.

Thanks

He doesn't beat on it daily and does realize its not going to last another 100k. He's just saving the power for those special occasions

makes me want to re think my turbo decision from an evo3 to a 20g... looks more like the type of powerband i am looking for. I think adding some 272 cams would wake up the top end to probably 360-380 hp

duuude... you made more power on a high reading dyno. This power on my software is good for 116mph+ traps... lets see that with your VF34 making more powaaahhh

LOL, why do people always have to compare dyno #'s... it;s getting old. looks like we need the signature under every post again to explain your software.
