Default How does a Cobb Accessport work and will it work with my parts?

I have a 2005 Subaru WRX 5 speed manual. I might sound like a idiot but how does the Cobb access port work? Will it sync with my k&n typhoon, skunk2 exhaust and a Invidia dp and up im thinking of buying? Thanks for the help. I am a noob you dont gotta tell me lol.

AccessPORT

Are you to busy to worry about tuning your own car? Would you like piece of mind knowing your vehicle's computer (ECU) is protected against accidental damage. Are you ready to spend less time fumbling with a laptop and more time driving?

We offer you the ultimate personal tuning solution for your WRX. Save time and money with the ability to conveniently reprogram your vehicle's computer (ECU) by selecting one of the pre-installed performance "maps" that automatically optimize settings such as the air/fuel ratio, ignition timing, boost and more for performance results you can instantly feel.

However, the AccessPORT is so much MORE than just a REFLASH DEVICE. It allows you to monitor fuel economy (average and real time), perform performance tests in order to estimate your 0-60mph and 1/4 mile time, read and decipher ECU trouble codes (CELs), and monitor live data via the OEM vehicle sensors which eliminates the need for costly aftermarket gauges.

You should be alright running that set up on COBBs map. The only thing you may have trouble with is the typhoon.

I can't recommend the AP more. I put 40K on my WRX with the AP and loved it. I did the same thing with my STi and it fixed my hesitation issues. No problems with 20K miles on it.

The device is super easy to use and worth every cent! I also saw a slight mileage improvement on the highway, I get about 30-40 more miles per tank, which is wierd for having improved the performance. I wish I could explain why but I honestly have no idea.
