Default Getting closer with my stock turbo 07 5 12.0 passes in a row!!

I still have yet to put everything together. I got out to Island Dragway today with Junior, Jays05, and a few good friends. With a lot of effort, I edged closer to my personal goals.

Last weekend I was able to pull off 3 12.1 passes with 1.8-1.9 60ft's. This weekend was a different story, I plain and simple drove the balls off of that 07. The difference from last weekend, much more effort was needed to get into the low 12's.

All 60ft's were 1.63-1.69
All traps were 113.5-114

13.90
12.14
12.09
12.06
12.04
12.04
12.06
12.18
28.8

This weekend, the driving was there. After great 60ft'ing I would spin 2nd and chirp third (have the videos).

Of course, finally put it together and then....Issues. Hooked Junior's Laptop up for logging.. Never got over 20lbs, the up-pipe gasket was leaking badly and finally gave way, hence the final 28 second run. I only reved out first and there was no power. On top of low boost, speratically the car would pull 15 degrees of timing on shifts. In the video, some transitions seemed good, others seemed awful and violent.

No matter how fast we go, Junior and I are kinda in the zone with this car. We'll be working on a new map this week for track days to come. I have get a new gasket as well, my car makes no power now and sounds like a plane

BTW, Jays05 FTMFW!!!

Juan - you car will run 11's? I don't understand why it's taking you 12 years to do this? those turbos have been in the states since 2004

Hey Mike, was the ecu giving the timing back or was it holding the timing back throughout the whole gear.
I had this problem with the stock ecu and Mike said I was too rough with my shifting sometimes and the ecu was picking up false shift knock.
I was running a set of pretty stiff motor mounts (avid racing) that was probably adding to the problem as well.

Smooth fast shifts FTW

What was the Barometric pressure at the track?

The Ecu was giving the power back, but it was a horrible feeling when I hit a gear well and the car nose dived violently then picked back up. Sometimes it would happen hitting 2nd, sometimes third. One run the car actually went into limp mode Car lost all power when I hit 4th for around 2 full seconds (13.9 run). Its a shame because that run I got out of the hole with a 1.63 so it could'a been something.

Not sure of the pressure, but I do know the car ran much more stout last weekend. Not much effort was needed for the 12.1 passes. I do know I was tuned in 40 degree weather though. Last weekend it was 40, this weekedn it was 65 with very high humidity. Maybe that was what aided in the knock???
I really dont know.

A vid will be posted later today, you may notice in some shots there is smoke billowing out of the tail pipe. Im tuned for 24 lbs, but was only spiking 19.xx-20, hence the richness.

Good stuff Mikey, congrats on the new launch setup working well, hate to hear of the shift issues though. This thing should really fly once all is straightened out. I should have gone to Island yesterday, Etown was a complete disaster.

Great! so my goal is freaken realistic , do you have any links to the car on 93oct? Xdrian's car was gutted to hell, and it weighted like 2600 if I remember correctly and he also had PPGs, mine is full interior .

Island was a great call. I knew Englishtown was going to be just plain stupid, its a great track but is the tri-state hangout.

I think there was a total of 15-20 cars at Island, hot lap city!!
