Default slightly used JIC coilovers up on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

Let me know if there is any interest. I have no problem pulling the ad if someone on here wants them before the time runs out.

Were you selling another set as well? One that needed to be rebuilt? How much are you looking to get for these?

No, this is my first set. I also haven't sold anything on ebay in quite some time.

My Buy It Now price is 800 (obviously). Shoot me an offer and we'll go from there.

I was thinking about getting some megans. I owned a pair on my civic and they were great with nice spring rates. Not bouncy or squishy. And I can get a new set for $850...I'm torn...

Well have fun with the megans if you decide to go that route, a subaru is not a civic

lol... are you serious?

$800 for a lightly used set of JIC's vs $850 for new Megans?

I wouldn't buy the Megan's if they were $500.

Your ad is a little misleading...

"Slightly used" to me anyway, implies less than 5,000 miles. At almost 20,000 miles, these have seen a lot of use as far as coilovers go. I realize it all depends on what kind of use they saw, but 20,000 miles is 20,000 miles until the buyer knows how you used them.

1) I recommend that you give a very in depth description as to what kind of roads are around your area, if they saw any track time, etc. That kind of stuff becomes incredibly important for the future owner to know when they are purchasing coilovers with so many miles on them.

2) Also realize that if they are going to need a rebuild, JIC charges an arm and a leg for that service, not to mention they are sent to Japan and I've heard time after time that it takes months to get them back. To eliminate any mixed feelings somebody may be having, I'd have them tested on a shock dyno to ensure they are still in good condition.

I'm just trying to give you some suggestions as to what a serious buyer might be looking for. Good luck with the sale.

I've asked quite a few people who owned JIC's and they hated them. I searched for a megan review on here and there was pretty much nothing but good things said about them. So as mullet said, everyone is entitled to there own opinion.

Damn.. I was about to say the exact thing... Nothing but people on here that hate the JIC's. Broken lower collars when cornering... super harsh ride... etc

The Megans are excellent coilovers for the price. I have personally been in STI's and EVO's with them and had no complaints whatsoever.... definitely an upgrade over factory and alot of other more expensive coilovers in every aspect.

Just addressed to the haters...

To the op... good luck with your sale

Just for your future buyers, the coilovers you're selling are about 4 years or older.

How do I know? The dust boot covers became a required item for all coilovers in early 2005. Before, JIC charged extra for them. I used to work at JIC for 3 years.

Bump for you. I have the same exact ones on my street / track wagon.

I won't disclose the reserve (never do) but if you'd like to make a deal off of ebay, feel free to PM me.

I kindly ask only those who are interested in BUYING the coilovers to post in this thread.
