evo,

there isnt much difference in the turbo. THe 39's have a smaller wastegate and are prone to internal cracking.

Spoolin, what's this kid hold at redline. I heard his turbo held boost like no other vf! I hold about 350 at redline, does he hold more??

If this car is an 08, its gotta be the dual AVCS, not so much the VF48. The VF48 really isn't all that much different to make a huge difference vs the VF39/43.

im not saying the vf48 is much bigger than the vf39 but i know that the 08's have been making way better trq numbers than the 04-07's. but like cellgeek said it might be from the dual avcs, im not to sure but i bet from those numbers that its an 08.

I seriously hate this super high dyno numbers, we should use something standard for everybody like Airboy's interpolation sheet, that way we all be using the same dyno .

Post the logs and I will do it for you, I just need an approximate weight, temp, humidity, tire size and gear used on the pull. The number just have to be + or - 5%, they will not make a lot of difference if they are on that range.

this is amazing to see. Those are equivalent to numbers from an 18g or 30r. *GRANTED* those two mentioned would not be near full potential and on a more conservative tune putting down these numbers. Regardless, great work!

Thats the cool part. Obviously tuned to potential, 30r cars piss on stock turbo cars. But if a 30R shows up to a meet, and I have some good gas in the tank, not saying I'll beat him but I'll surprise the chit out of him, just as these other stock turbo monsters would. Its funny, very few of us have known the potential of these baby sized turbos. But its taken the community in general years to realize that to a certain point, the STi's can keep up with the evo's mod for mod, its just that the STi has more complexities in the ecu.

when are you guys gonna stop messsin around with POS VF turbos and crank it up on a big16g??

if you guys are running close to 11's on vf39's..anyone who has a Green should be running mid 11's to 10's already!!

if i had a green'd sti and it didnt trap atleast 120 i'd be pissed!

Who said it reads high? Maybe your dyno reads low?
330-340 on a low reading dyno made the same traps
350ish whp on Rolys car made between 113-115 traps.
Is the 10-15hp really that big of a deal??
Would it have been better if the dyno said 315whp? or would it just be considered a super low reading dyno?
Its not like they post 350whp and go trap 110mph.. That would be a hig reading dyno.

Either way, all we have here is another 114-115mph stock turbo STI.
Both STIMIKEY and CTRACER 911 have trapped 115.XX with around the same power on this same dyno. CT made like mid 340s when he trapped 115.XX

While I am at it, I can say that SpoolinSTI wrenched a hell of a car. Car was 100% perfect. Not a single hiccup.

whats different with the ecu's ??

i always figured the 4g63 could take alot more abuse and withstand detonation alot better.

very impressive power out of a stock turbo setup. it is amazing as to how far things can go without venturing too far from stock. Very encouraging
