Talking Yet another tire post.

Ok I am setting up my 18 inch Prodrive P1's...

I have them in my possession, but I need tires. I am planning a 1.5 inch drop on the wagon in front and back. So what sidewall height can I get away with folks?

I ask since my fellow Texans know what’s up

That's the way to suck up! I have absolutely no information for you, but I'll be following this thread to see what's recommended by our fellow Texas Subie experts.

I asked about 225-45-17s and BBS RKs on a wagon a couple of days ago, and all I've gotten is comments from folks about my (non-popular) choice of wheel. Not one bit of usefull info on tire size for the wagon. Maybe there's not enough of us wagon owners, yet?

I'd love to see a pic of those 18s on your wagon...when you get 'em mounted.

I have heard people having rubbing problems with the 225's on a wagon, so i would go with a 215/40/18 with the drop.

I also have 18" P1s. I have a 225/40/18 on there, and in stock ride height no problems.

Are you going to be doing springs or coilovers?

yes, i would agree that 215 on a dropped wagon would be the way to go.

BTW - there are PLENTY of wagons around...

you need to go 225 40 18, there should be no rubbing issues, those wheels are designed for our vehicle, i used to have them on my car but I sold em to liquidIQ he has no problems and his is a wagon, BTW my car is lowered 1.5 frnt 1.0 rear. HTH

Probably just springs and struts. M2 has a set with a rear swaybar that seems like a bargain. I still have to check with them to make sure there aren't any wagon specific fitment issues.

Thanks everyone for the rapid replies... I'll post a pic of the results
