Default Replace cats but keep stock muffler?

Has anyone removed all 3 cats but kept the resonator and the stock muffler? I'm not concerned with emissions, I would like the car to breath better to open up the bottom end, I would like to keep the noise level as low as possible, and from what I understand aftermarket mufflers have next to no performance advantages anyway. Besides, stealth works well for me. Is this even a possibility?

Yeah it's called a TurboXS Turbo-Back without the muffler.

I have TXS turbo back, and am currently using the stock muffler (and one cat in the midpipe from TXS). Nice & quiet, although there's a little more turbo noise.
