Default You Turbo Guys Get All The Attention (Engine Porn Inside)

So Cosworth is making y'alls life a little better:

Quote:
Our Subaru EJ25 intake manifold has been in development for quite some time now. We had plastic prototypes running on our engine dyno early on in 2008. We first showed a prototype intake manifold at Subiefest last September and we had pre-production aluminum castings on display at SEMA in November. Here we are in the beginning of March 2009, and intake manifold production is finally in full swing! Look for the first production units to be shipping in the next week or so.
This is so unfair! Again! Seriously, doesn't anyone realize us NA guys have more to gain from this kind of stuff?

I wonder what they designed it to benefit: torque, more responsiveness, high end, etc.?

$1000, so it's cheaper than the magnus and it's more uniformly constructed. Sounds like a winner to me. (If they could just start shipping those bitches)

i understand where you're coming from but I think anything N/A is a lost cause in the subaru world.

the cars are too heavy to begin with.

gone are the days of light weigt civics and high hp 1.6L engines..Forced induction is the future for 4 cylinder motors.

its too bad subaru wont drop an h6 into an impreza..

wow, cheaper than I thought. I don't think I fall into the category of needing one though. Not enough turbo (green) and already have a v8 mani

mfg's are battling two fronts- the "safety" regulations front (more weight) and also the emissions front (less power).

Yea but a name only goes so far. 1000 dollars is just around the "eeehh maybe it's worth it" price I think. 1500 = so what were the specs on that plenum and runner size again? lol
