Default 05 rs blown motor

I have a 2005 25 rs with a blown motor, found a new motor but its for an 06 will this work ? and also any recomendations on upgraded piston and valve sets? do not want to blow another motor thanks in advance

i couldnt find the answer while searching. is the 06 still a SOHC 2.5?
if so then you can use it just change over your sensor's to the new motor.
if not then no you cant, u'll need a wire harness and ecu to make it work.

but why not rebuild your old motor and beef it up? do so research on prices of rebuild parts and that motor and compare.

whats ur intentsion's of this motor???

Well i want to get a little more power out of it but not to the extent of a turbo kit, while keeping it a daily driver along the lines of a weekend warrior haha.
as far as i can tell they are the same motor and their is no core charge on this engine so i can keep the old one and play with it later but the deal is too good to pass up at the moment and i need it to function yesterday haha thanks in advance
