Post 2.5 swap

Looking to swap in 2.5 into my 1990 legacy. Just want to swap the block nd use my 2.2 heads.intake manifold and sensors for ease of swap. alread calculated compression ratio to 10.1-1 to 10.5-1 depending on gasket thickness. Any known complications waith this? Have all parts. Any idea on how this will run? Or do i need a piggyback for sure? Dont see why this shouldn't work

There is a very informative thread describing this very swap. It's titled "Hi compression frankenstein"..... I thought it was a sticky....but I guess since it doesn't involve turbos....it isn't worthy. Yay nasioc.....

if i remember right the CR was higher then that. but regardless you will be needing to run super to keep the ping fairys away.

i thought of going this route and decided to keep the whole phase 2 ej25 in my 90 legacy.

i'm running stock everything for a 2.2. runs great, is pretty dang quick. i highly recommend the swap to anyone. only down side, not having a working IAC.

but if you got a 1.8 TB you could have one because the IAC is mounted on the TB and not on the intake like the 2.2.

my write up. not a step by step, but it shows some of the things i had to do.
