Unhappy Thinking about selling my wrx

Not out of bordom or anything stupid. I just gotta get my finances straight. If I decide to actually sell it some one will end up with a well modded subie. With about 9k in parts alone. Or a nice LONG partout list.

Unless someone can talk me out of selling it.

If you think you need to have a car, selling yours now just means you'll have to buy one again in the future, = loss = bad financial management.
If hard times have fallen, lower your standard of living until you can rise up. Cut the phone, expensive foods, clothes buying, use less gas/electricity, stay home more often, bum people for rides/supplies :P

Or part out your mods, even.

I know...But Wallets getting smaller and bills are getting bigger. And I hate EVO's yuck.

Yah see I live a pretty min-lifestyle I have nothing left to cut out of the budget. Except Acar payment and full coverage insurance. Honestlly the ideal thing would be for someone with a decent late 90's mod compact hands me a title and takes whatever is left on my loan.

You have to consider the costs of the car as part of your entertainment/hobby/lifestyle costs when creating a new budget. Owning a car is one thing, owning and modding a car is more a way of life than just a car payment or having a Prius. I bet even if you did get a different car, you would end up spending your "extra" money on other stuff and in the end have little else to show for it. However, your choice. I have sold several cars and parted out many times. One thing is constant, I ALWAYS lost money.

The problem is in the long term not the short. I'am just trying to rid myself of monthly payments. hence the Trade for a decent quick car with the other person basically taking on the rest of my debt.

As a partout would solve my current issues I may be willing to do a few sale/trades. ick. nausia settin in again.

Why talk you down? If your car payment is causing financial problems, get rid of it. It's just a car afterall.

Man, look if it comes down to u trading the car in, u know as well as anyone, you're gonna get more from a lot if its in "like new" condition, which for the most part means stock etc...I've got several stock parts that can help you out, as well as I have another car, thats paid off which gets great gas milage. I drove it for an entire month on post on 1 tank of gas... Youve been very inviting as far as lettin me mooch information and knowledge about these cars from you for a while now, especially not knowing me. I'm more than willing to help you out in any way I can..How much u owe on the car? or what are your payments...I can see what I can do bro.

it is just a car and there will be many to come in the future. i finally sold my very first car a month or so ago, it was hard to do but i really had no need for it, but my point is when you build it there is a sentimental value in it so it becomes hard, but if you take lots of pics and right down your mod list and save it you can always look back at it.

I'm in the same boat with my Tacoma, so much blood, sweat, tears and laughs are hard to let go.
Money might be tight now, but you can always make more and buy another...

Well I got my head straight for the moment...

But if I make it final I promise it will be in the nasioc for sale section....I would rather it go to someone who appreciates the car for the blood, sweat, and many sleepless nights put into it. Rather than a disposable toy..much like NEGATIVEONE's STi.

dude. seriously. don't do it man. lol keep your head straight and your chin up, man. your car really isn't just a car, it's a huge part of you and your lifestyle (well... it is for me anyhoo...). when I blew a piston rallying my car this summer it took me just until about 3 weeks ago to get enough to fix it again... seriously in debate of getting rid of it and starting over, but no. I worked 2 jobs saved up the 5600 to get it fixed and now I have it back, and I could never be happier... lol I haven't even done anything to it yet, still stock and everything. but I'm really happy I pulled through and got er' back up and running... I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world (ok maybe an sti... lol).... alright, so that's my 51 cents (lol inflation...)

Another option is a second job until things get better... it doesn't take many hours to get an extra $500 a month.

I've been there on the car thing... glad I kept it.

Opening yourself up to various odd jobs helps too. Help friends and family excessively for a few bucks here and there. Work a small weekend job. Whatever works for you, give it a try. If you don't think the car is worth it, then don't do it.

My philosophy is: You will ALWAYS be in debt to something, so why not be in debt to something you actually WANT to keep? I put tons of money keeping my RS running until I decided it was no longer something I wanted.

Similar with the STi now. I wouldn't hold myself into debt for something that didn't inspire me to keep up my hard work.

It appears your car is your identity. You're in it for LIFE now, homie!
