Default Wht u all think.

Hey guy how u all doing.I got a wrx and am doing the good old hybrid swap to it.I have wiseco pistons on the sti bottom end but still have the stock sti rods.Was leaving the sti rods in a mistake or what. I want to make close to 400 hp dd if thats cool. i got all the mods to support that power,heads are done and so is the tranny.Sorry if my english is bad.

you will have no problem with stock rods at that power level.

Yeah, twinscroll 35r, you will not be disappointed. You can reach 450 and spool like a Dom 3 then (3.6K for 20lbs in fourth). Taht setup will cost you ~1K used. If you got the cash though, throw in some pauter rods while you're there and do it right so you can take it to 500 if you want later. OEM rods are only safe to 400. I'm always suggesting folks to overbuild by 20% just to be sure...

The bolck is already done so i dont want to pay the shop for more to be done u knw.I just do want it to be a weak link.

There's a few guys pushing over 500whp on the stock rods. Not safe, but they are pretty strong.

I've also seen folks push 400 out of an oem block but for how long
