Default Need help with Husky Puppy

I have a 11 month old Male Husky/Chow mix. He is currently staying at my girlfriends house and he is not allowed there anymore(her dad is an ass), nor can he come to my parents house with me at the moment. I'd really, really, prefer to keep this dog and my girlfriend is incredibly attached to him as well. He basically needs somewhere to stay for 3-4 months until we move into a place where we can take him (lease is up end of June). I will provide his food and visit regularly. I know this is an odd request but I'd really hate to have to give this dog up for good when I'm so close to getting him a stable living environment.

His name is Hiroki (Hiro for short). He is very lively, friendly, and playful. He is not aggressive at all and he NEVER barks, though he does whine when he feels bored or lonely. He is very good around babies besides the obvious fact that he has a lot of energy, but he's never been aggressive or rough around them at all. He does like to chew, but the only thing he's ever ruined was her dads garden hose which I immediately replaced. So far he hasn't shown an interest in digging.

TIA

Good for you for not giving up and just getting rid of him. Most of the shelters are full right now with the amount of forclosures and the state of the economy and a lot of homeless animals are being put down to make room for others. I wish I could help, but my 2 beasts aren't very friendly to anyone but my immediate family. Hopefully someone will be able to help out.

Thanks for the good wishes guys, I appreciate it.

There's no way I could ever give him to a shelter or anything similar because of those very reasons. I'd even have a hard time completely giving him to someone, even someone I know, let alone someone I don't know. When I first got him he was only 8 weeks and I kept him with me until he was about 6 months old. Then, I wasn't able to afford a new place so it was agreed that he could stay with my girlfriend until I did, but her dad has some hatred for him that is beyond me... It sucks.

If you haven't found anything yet, we can keep him here for a bit. As long he gets along good with other dogs. Let me know.

I don't want any cats. I'm not a shelter, I just offered to help a buddy out.

Ultimately, he's ok if he has shade and plenty of water. If it does get too hot I could bring him inside.

Mark, he has been staying with their German Shepherd and they get along fine. When I first brought him to her house he was a little cautious of her and would growl a bit, but she was also twice his size at the time and it was the first time he'd ever interacted with another dog. It only took him about 2 hours to be running around and playing with her. He does grumble sometimes if she wanders by his food bowl when he's eating, but he doesn't snap or anything, just eats faster

She lives with her parents and the puppy. I live with my parents and he can't stay with us at this house because of the landlords animal restrictions, but this lease is up in June.

Good looking dog you have there sir. I hope things work-out for ya.

Thanks, Rick! Mark has offered to help me out at the moment, so I am going to bring him over and make sure he gets along with the other dogs. I will most definitely keep you in mind if something comes up, he would love it there!
