Default USDM 05 STI Longblock into 02 bugeye

Is there any easier way to have the AVCS work on the 05 Block and heads with a modified harness and a JDM ECU or something other then a hydra?

I have been lead to believe that the JDM V7 STI ECU will not control USDM heads. I have the setup and just figured if i could use it i would. If its a pain in the arse then i would just port the WRX heads and go full hybrid instead of just bolting on my wrx intake and porting the STI heads.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I was thinking at the minimum would be to replace the solonoids with JDM in the USDM head.

Thanks in advance

You could bag the AVCS, plug the holes in the cams and run the bigger heads with a few sensor adaptors.
