Default Smoking Like A Chimney!

Alright so last week I did a turbo swap on my built motor.. I went from an element tuning gt52 to a vf48 in hopes to run e85 and go fast, with instant boost.. The vf48 had maybe 5k miles on it and is 3 months old. No shaft play and was not smoking on the previous car..

I am now smoking like a chimney and its been going on for a week. I swapped turbos last Thursday the 12th. I have white smoke pouring out my exhaust pipe.. I have ordered a ICV gasket and its on its way. I think this is the culprit but I have no clue since I have never touched it before..

My question is can I run fuji/honda bond whatever you want to call the silicone gasket maker until the proper gasket comes in. This is my daily driver and the white smoke is killing me!

Or is there anything else that I should look for as the culprit?

Can i just do the throttle body coolant bypass mod and that way there is no more coolant going through the throttle body?

so your TB gasket is hosed, and you suspect coolant getting in to the TB? Have you looked in the TB to see if that's what is happening, or could the smoke be from something else?

No i believe that it is coming through the idle control valve.. I have looked into the manifold and there was liquid sitting in the plenum..

That is what I am asking if it is coming from something else. I am about to do the coolant throttle body bypass mod and see if that eliminates my problem..

Make sure the turbo oil return like is not restricted. That will cause you to smoke too. I focus on the things you touched last if the problem started soon after.

Good call I will look into that as well.. I am letting my car cool off now from the ride to autozone.. If the oil return like was kinked ever so slightly wouldnt it smell like oil being burned? The white smoke doesnt smell like oil and is pure white not blue.. Or am I just wrong?

how long did the turbo sit before you installed it? white smoke is coolant black is fuel or oil depending on color but both could be due to bad seals in this new turbo.......just a shot in the dark but you didnt have the problem and now you do so i would start with the most obvious change.

Well i fixed it.. I did the coolant bypass mod and I found that I had a huge kink in my oil return line.. The kink cut off about half of the flow.. So I replaced that as well.. Now there is no more smoke!
