Default Going to get your car dyno'd and tuned? Read me.

Ok so Grimmspeed shipped me one of their cast bellmout downpipes on the condition that I get baseline and installed dyno graphs and spam the hell out of the forums with the results.

I simply don't have the time or energy to do so.

What I'm willing to do though, is give you this downpipe on the same conditions.

It would be best if your car was relatively stock-ish... we would like to see gains from stock dp to theirs, preferrably after it gets tuned as well.

This is an Impreza part, so if you've got a Legacy GT/Outback XT it won't bolt up without the extension.

If you are willing and able to do this, I'd prefer to hand off the part to one of our local vendors who does tuning, and have it tuned/installed/tested all that same day.

I'd love to, but I just can't afford tuning right now

not really accurate to get a stock baseline with oem exhaust, then tuned with this downpipe. wouldnt it be better to show dyno graphs from an already tuned car's baseline, then install and tweak tune, to show gains?

with that said, you should give this downpipe to me

You want a FREE downpipe AND for someone to pay for it?

Go huff paint.

Well in a perfect world, we'd get baseline, tuned, untuned new DP, and retuned new DP dyno pulls.

In a perfect world.

And as far as how soon, within the next week or two would be swell, 3-4 tops.

I do t think I can get the wife to approve a tune that quick. Going to be a good deal for someone though. Wish it could have been me.

dyno time + tune, I would wager you're looking at somewhere in the $500 range, although I could be way off.

Talk to W1, Surgeline, PIA, Kito, Dom, whoever your tuner of choice is. They might cut you a break if their name is big and bold in your spam as well.

Yikes, pass

I am afraid my student budget won't allow me to fork out the dough for a tune in the near future, especially with spring break coming up.

I envy whoever gets this deal though.

I had my car tuned at Kito last fall with only mod being an uppipe. I've got a baseline and tuned numbers from that and can do the install and have another baseline and tune done... Just let me know if that's what you're looking for

My 06 sti is stock. I am just planning for going stage2. I already got the HKS carbon ti, but dont have a downpipe yet. If the Grimmspeed downpipe is free, then i am welling to install it and get a tune and get any info u want.
