Odd how Scion is below industry average considering it's basically a Toyota.

What's also odd is Jags are up there... aren't british cars supposed to break down after the first oil change?

It's a Ford...

If they put all brands together there wouldn't be many as there are so many owned and sub owned. Same thing goes for Lexus, it is split as well.

Despite Buick being up there, you really think their sales will increase. Who the F wants a Buick and is under 65?

Ya that is weird but then again more of the younger crowd go for them maybe driven harder?..

My mom has a 05 S type and has had no issue's with it.

Ya but then why is there such a spread between Nissan and Infinity?

And Audi and VW?

A lot of time they are made in either the same plant or using a lot of the same parts.

I think a lot of it has to do with where there is a larger percentage of a certain car, the types of owners etc etc.

The stats are based on NUMERICAL scores only and no statistical data. So they basically just have to fit into a certain category and score points on certain things to do well...even if they may actually have more reliability issues than other cars.

For what it's worth, I rented a Buick Lucerne when I was in California two years ago, and I have to say that it was a really nice car. Extremely quiet (they market it as being quieter than the Lexus ES), smooth riding, comfortable and decent power. It was perfect for the highways down there, not to mention extremely roomy.

And yes, the build quality on that car was steps above anything domestic I've ever sat in prior to that Buick.

Not to mention these are buyer reviewed so someone buying for a 100k benz would probably be more picky as opposed to someone that can barely see over the dash.

Agreed with Lantec.

Plus, let's not forget that Buick hasn't always been about the "Old Man" mobile.

I still want one Kevin.
My neighbour has one and takes it out often. It needs some love though. In the form of a GT65 turbo.

Or you could go with a nice Regal with a big block...

Your neighbour is lucky to have one, they only made about 550 GNX's so they're pretty hard to come by. Heck, even a normal Grand National would be nice to have.

My Cuz has a Grand National, his fireman buddy has two and a GNX. I'm trying to convince him to supe it up but he likes the stock meticulous look...not even phatty rims.

Wrong! Jaguar is no longer owned by Ford. Maybe a reason for increased reliability.
