Default evo x makes 370whp on stock turbo..

Fully unmodded motor, have not even removed the valve cover.
stock manifold, stock turbo.

downpipe back exhaust with externally dumped wastegate. fmic kit and water/meth with ECUFlash for tunning. NO DATALOGGING, done fully by feel from Kienan at All Aspects. This is the First EVO X he has tuned. Once We get some datalogging software we expect to see some better numbers.

367whp-355wtq

I dont have a good chart.. all i was able to find was this whp+speed graph.

Not to bad.

Nice numbers, what were they uncorrected?
I have tuned a few of them and the more I do them the more they grow on me.
Add a set of the kelfords and you will have yourself a fun street car. I made a tad over 400whp on 93 with the stock turbo, s1 kelfords, external dump dp, catback, IC pipes and FMIC.

uncorrected is 399whp...

is this your thread?

http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-x-d...am-test-4.html

everyone is falling for this "uncorrected" 400whp. most of the evoX owners are just getting into this scene, and have no idea what different corrections are.

dude y'all don't know how awesome the EVO X is.

That car is sick, man. It's a track monster and makes even BETTER power than the EVO 8/9! I can't wait to see someone throw a 35r on that badboy - If they release the 3200 lb RS version in America, EVO X RS will seriously be the coolest not-GTR car ever

the 4b11 is really a work of art... world one did a great job imo of the design... it makes a good deal of power with minimal $$

the boxer can never compare to any inline 4, especially motors like the k20,b18,4g63t, 4b11, etc

yes it sounds cool but the 4g63 and 4b11 piss on the ej's.

the new evo x is bound to do what the evo 8 & 9 did..make tons of power and back it up.

me wants

That might be a little exaggerated...

Lets not forget the EVO comes stock with a bigger turbo than an STi. And how much is really known about how reliable the new 4b11T will be? Maybe it will be a great motor, but it's a pretty new design, and Mitsubishi has never been known for it's reliability whatsoever.

I don't know why so many members here on this board are so horny over the EVO's? I'm not trying to put them down, they have their advantages vs an sti/wrx.. so I'm not trying to pretend they are not a good platform.. there are tons of them making ridiculous amounts of power running around... but there are pro's and con's with either of these AWD turbo 4 door platforms. Subaru's have some pretty strong features as well. Sorry to rant, because it isn't even this thread so much, but it gets old hearing some of crap you hear... if you like the EVO that much, and are sure it's that amazing.. sell your Subaru and go buy one. Personally I think it's a "grass is greener on the other side of the fence" type situation.

srsly the ej is a brilliant motor. only now have mitsu made an all aluminium engine can the comparisons start, the 4g63 was an iron block fully closed deck race motor homologated for the streets. lets see how they compare.

and mxpunk if the boxer motor is such crap then why do porsche use it, probably the single winningest car in motorsport history. flat boxer motors are by far the best for tracking as they provide such a low centre of gravity.

im sure my wrx has a nicer interior then the evo or any dsm, i still like it but when it comes to making horse power the 4g63 triumphs it.

i will eventually own one but i still like my wrx

as far as people having hard on's for them..these cars are running 11's with their stock turbos. it isnt a freak thing either, quite a few have done it as opposed to the 1 or 2 that have on their sti's.

a 10 second tsi/gsx/evo isnt a big deal, its old news and its been done a million times and theirs a clear cut path to it.

ppg's cost what? 5-6K?

a shep trans is $800

and i realize the EJ hasnt been stateside for nearly as long as the 4g63. in time im sure we will see alot more fast subarus.

how can you compare a 911 turbo that costs 160 grand or whatever to a econo box with a turbo engine on it?

Its not like im hating on subarus, i love my wrx and its a blast to drive. I just dont have a problem acknowledging something superior, thats all.

my friend has a x with full bolt ons.. minus cams, and his downpipe opens up at 14 psi and he made 372/385.. taking it to e town on sunday i think, they make decent power.. its just that they weigh about 3700 lbs or so.. that kinda sucks hahaa
