Default headlights painted?

ya so like above.. i really want to paint my headlight black,i know ive seen several different threads on the how to. It looks pretty straight forward but the only thing that worries me is the whole taking it in and out thing and breaking the clips. i know they are crazy expensive to replace so i was just wondering if someone local here has theirs done and maybe give me some insight maybe even a hand? thanks i could buy u luch or a beer or something?

JJ did mine and I have no complaints (aside from having to claybar my car because I parked in the area we were spraying them in )

jj did mine! awesome job. sadly when my car was wrecked the repair shop replaced one, realized it didn't match and replaced both time to do it again! ( only issue i had was with mine hazing.... but i think thats just neglect)

fyi.... having the headlights replaced they were quoted at 900 each.... be careful.

black silicone and sandpaper eh?
sounds intense, hmm is the silicone for resealing the headlight because you dont need it, and you are going to sandpaper the housing? you are better off baking it on instead of taking sandpaper to it.
