Default Finally decided to go with the Blouch 18G, what else do I need to get?

I picked this turbo setup due to price and power (up to 400HP is good enough for me). I'm going to accompany this turbo with a grimmspeed EWG combo http://www.importimageracing.com/mm5...egory_Code=573

750cc injectors, fuel pump and a turboxs FMIC

http://www.importimageracing.com/mm5...egory_Code=576

and obviously, I will be tuned.

Am I missing anything? Headers a must?

I already have a 3" catless TBE and an intake.

I've heard the 5 speed on the 08s are pretty stout, but I'm not so sure . One of the reasons I haven't considered a GT30R rotated kit

How about your BPV? I'm guessing you're retaining your stock one since you didn't mention it? What boost levels are you going to run? What about BCS? Are you getting an aftermarket one or going with the MBC?

I'm looking at 16-18. should keep me safe

I have a BOV here, but it's atmospheric. Booo! So I don't know whether or not to keep the stocker. I forgot about the BCS, what do you recommend?

I'd keep your stock BPV and you'll be more than happy with it. Crush the cap if you're lookng to hold over 22psi just to make sure there are no leaks. For boost control...that's something you're going to ask your tuner what he prefers. My tuner HATES MBCs so I got the GM BCS on here for $35 shipped. Other good BCS are HOA (which is the same as prodrive), Prodrive, and Grimmspeed. The last three just plug into your factory BCS harness, whereas with the GM you have to cut the stock harness and solder in a new one.

turboxs FMIC no that is worst FMIC you can get for your STI I used to have that then I switched to Ultimate Racing FMIC way better cooling

you will need Dom 4 to hit 400hp

well, it's rated up to 400HP. I don't know if the engine could handle that much without some internal work.

ok my Dom 4 is rated for 580 hp you think Iam going to hit 580 hp without putting racegas and 30 - 35 psi to tune it at.

http://www.blouchturbo.com/turbos/Dom4/

18g is rated at 400hp that means its maxed out the turbo at 400 so 20psi you only get 300 hp at the wheels

to get 400hp to need around iam guessing 30psi on that 18g

Ultimate Racing FMIC will be better cooling for your turbo making it last longer too

Would I be better suited with another turbo? I'm open to all options (with the exceptions of turbos that need me to upgrade my internals)

well Dom 4 then will be easlier with less boost to hit 400

my tuner is tuning my car at 20 PSI and I have a fully built motor and I should have around 400hp or less need to put it on the dyno then I can tell you for sure

If this is a daily driver than I recommend you stay with the 18g. This is the way you need to look at it though. Dont look at this as the #'s game like "oh I want to hit 400hp ATWs". Think of it as "where do I want my power? Do I want quick and snappy so I can play with it all the time, or do I want it up top so I can scream onto the freeway with the occasional highway pull? The 2.5l and an 18g will be pretty snappy with usuably power on the street and should put you well into the 300's in the hp and ft-lbs area. But its up to you.

I just dynoed my 18g TDO5 7cm on my 06 TR and I laid down 310 and 350 at 18PSI. This was on a Dyno Jet.

you dont need a dom 4 to hit 400, dom three should be fine but 400 on 18g in theroy is possible. sound like a nice set up though

You are getting this info about the TXS fmic from where? What dyno charts, timeslips or anything, is telling you this? Because I assure you its wrong.

You also dont need anything approaching a DOM4 for 400hp. He is looking for 400 at the crank, not wheels.
