Default Built 05 sti...problem

Well i just finished building my 05 sti and i have ran into a problem. It currently has the following mods:

BC stage 3 cams
BC valve springs and retainers
AP Fuel rails
PE 850cc injectors
Larger TMIC
CAI
TD06-20g with 3in inlet and 8cm exhaust
Header/up-pipe
Invidia TBE
TGV Deletes
12mm oil pump

I ran into a problem while starting it. With all sensors plugged in the motor will not take r's past 2000 without popping and backfiring out the exhaust. But when i unplug the cam triggers it revs to 4500 until it starts to pop. I checked over the timing, all grounds made are good, I pulled off cam sprockets to make sure pins were locked in place correctly and i checked the plugs on sensors to make sure no pins were bent/not getting good connection. Everything seems to be working and in place like it should. Called around some shops and no one seems to have any suggestions for me.

Kinda wierd that it runs better with no cam position signal going to the ecu. Sounds like the stock ecu is smart enough to switch over to wasted spark mode, but stay in limp home mode. Maybe the bc cams you have were machined wrong and the notches in the intake cams are in the wrong place. I never heard of this but maybe someone else on here has?

This is what i was thinking but if they were machined wrong it would have to be just the slightest bit. Talked to a couple people and they seem to think that i should just tune without the avcs completely. Was thinking about going with a Megasquirt

I don't think yours is a tuning issueWhy does it run SO much better when the cam sensors are unplugged and the ecu goes to a wasted spark /bank inj mode.. Something VERY weird there imho.

I took a timing light to it and the timing is right where it should be it does not jump around or anything like that. I was thinking that the cams could be machined wrong but then again thats all done electronically on a machine and i dont think that it could really be off. Still trying to figure out what i should do with this. Any other sugestions?
