I currently have a WRX shell Im slowly piecing together and as of now it has a JDM STi 5 speed. I was looking for engines to put in and I was wondering how hard it would be to throw in a 06 US STi engine if I also had the wiring harness and ecu? What all would I need to change such as Cluster and all that good stuff?
Do you guys think its worth the effort to go with that instead of the stock 2.0? Also after search a little I found that a hybrid set up is also an option any thoughts there? Any thoughts are appreciated! ![]()

My swap is nearing completion and the difference in power between my tuned 2.0 and the untuned STI engine is staggering. With the same VF34 it's night and day. I vote for STI engine.

how about a 2.0 top end and a 2.5 block ... no wiring required..

if any thing would be weird about it, it would be the tuning as the VE will be different with the higher compression ... --> it will need a custom tune by someone who knows what they are doing .
