Default P1312 CEL Code

Last wk, I got a CEL, code P1312. From what I've searched, I need to put the 2.2k ohms resistor in because of my catless uppipe. My question is, I've had my uppipe for over 5 years and now it turns on, any reason why it would turn on after so long?

thanks.

Either the EGT sensor went bad, or you floored it long enough to get your EGT's up there enough to trigger the sensor would be my guess.
