You know I've got a stack of laptops.
I just picked up the P-120 and fired it up. It runs. Nothing exciting. Active matrix screen, 32mb ram, 1.4 gig hard drive. Battery life is unknown - but probably really short. It is a lithium ion, but probably 7 years old or more. Hmm. The mouse pointer thingy wasn't working. I think it needs to be set up again. If you want it, I'll give you both the P-120 and one of my P-150 parts machines. Maybe you can have somebody swap the motherboard and set up the pointer for a functioning P-150. Is this for Gary's car? If it is, only payment I request is a ride once it's tuned! ![]() |

Why not just use a hand held Palm (PDA) with a USB port connector to do the job. I have seen it done, but is was with a hand held PC and those are about $500. That is my 2 brain cells.

Why spend $100+ on a PDA or palmtop pc when your friends have regular sized laptops sitting around collecting dust that they're willing to donate?

I've looked on ebay, but everytime I enter a search I get overloaded with accessories and other useless crap.
I'm looking for more of a local shop that I can walk in and smack a few keyboards before deciding. Not crazy cheap (maybe a pentium 200 or so), just not new. |

Austin, there's a store near Soutcenter mall (and I think they have other branches) called Computer Surplus that carries used computer stuff. I saw an older pentium laptop there a couple of weeks ago. Their number is 425-917-8309 if you want to give them a call.

repc.com in Tukwila always has alot of low-end laptops in the $50-100 range..
A computer I always thought would be cool in the car is the Fujitsu Stylistic 510 Pen Tablet. Like this one on ebay... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=2017527505 peace, rick |

RE/PC is what I was going to recommend. I think there are several PC Recycle places around. Also Boeing Surplus...
