Default 1997 Legacy GT sedan

Selling my suby. I've had the car for about a year and it was my winter warrior, but its time to get rid of some of the vehicles.

$1200 OBO

1997 GT Sedan 5 spd
183k
dunlop snow tires with about 6k on them

The bad:
Hood has some rot
Rear quarters have surface rust
A/C doesn't work
EGR code
Oil leak from somewhere under the timing covers

You know this is tempting since i didn't get that other leggy that was for sale...but I'm kinda detoured by the high mileage.

I mean my volvo 240 has 203,000 but those cars will go to 300 with minor tune ups and repairs

I'm not really familiar with this particular model

My 98 Legacy has 253k and it runs like a champ. I see 184k and think that must be nice. Bodywork is simple, these cars are great. Good luck with the sale man.

With a little elbow grease you'll be in good shape. I'd keep it as the winter car but I live in an apartment complex that doesn't allow you to work on a car in the parking lot. It is still registered so you can take it for a ride and see whats what. I paid 1800 for it last year and threw the snows on it.

Hey, don't let the mileage detour or deter you I've had my fair share of subies (11) and honestly the worst clunker was one of the lowest mileage. Either they've been taken care of or neglected, plenty of high mileage cars are still solid.

Yeah it really got the job done. I'm sure it would make one hell of an ice racer as well. The pic was taken by the res#2 (i think) in framingham.

If I had the money kicking around, I'd upgrade winter beaters from my Legacy L to yours.

Good price. If you were closer this would be tempting. My 97 L wagon is the best car I've ever owned. 279k and it refuses to die.
