Question Car audio installs in the valley?

Hey everyone,

Did a quick search and the last thread I found on the subject seemed to be from around late 2006. Anyway, I have an unused Soundstream 5-channel amp I've had since about 2001 that I want to get installed, and will probably put in Diamond separates/sub. Looking for a shop that does quality work. Not planning on doing anything crazy, since I need usable space in the trunk, but my stock speakers are garbage and need to be upgraded. Thanks in advance for your help... and please, no Audio Express jokes.

-Mike

Do you have an aftermarket deck? Or do you plan on it? If not you will have to use line-outs on the deck to get RCA inputs. Not really the greatest sounding by a longshot but doable. Shoot me a PM of give me a call tomorrow

^this is what i did with my stock stereo in the leggy and in the bugeye! i hooked up one 12 with the amp. Sounds pretty damn good to me! but obviously will sound better with an aftermarket deck that already has the rca's. i wanted the stock look. less attention sitting in a parking lot.(i dont work on the best side of town.)

Stay away from the guy who did installs at Caliente Auto. I had new speakers installed there a while back and have had nothing but issues with the installation. Had to pay someone to fix one issue, and now another one has popped up with a different speaker. =\

I think Caliente is out of business now (or certainly not looking for business from SWIC) so you should be ok. Szeny is a good guy though. Try giving him a call. (i should probably do the same since I think he can fix my current issue with in a few mins.)

Ya it works fine if only pulling lineout for the sub.. but when you want 5 channels it is retarded

The wires just need to be looked at. Im about 99% sure that its grounding out on the door panel (like one of the other speakers was previously doing). I havent driven the car much in the past month so it hasnt been a priority for me to have someone look at it.
