im almost ready,

since my battery is in the trunk, i had to build a firewall which was no problem.

but if any of you know how to wire in a kill switch, please pm me. removing the battery cables does not kill my car, so no go there.

thanks

i'll try for the first one if i have it ready.

You only need a firewall if your battery and fuel cell are in the trunk.

the killswitch is a battery killswitch, not a car killswitch, to protect the car from burning down in the event that the main battery cable gets pinched in an accident. All you need it to do is interrupt the main line that goes from the trunk to the engine bay, as close to the battery as possible.

  1. All batteries must be securely mounted (no bungee cords, rope, wire etc) Batteries may not be relocated into the driver or passenger compartment. Rear firewall mandatory when relocated battery in trunk. If sealed battery box is used, must be vented outside of body. When battery is relocated a master power cut off switch must be installed on rear most part of vehicle.
  2. The trunk and passenger compartment of the vehicle must be empty prior to racing and all stereo amplifiers and speakers must be securely mounted.

ken, did you change the final gear when you did the swap or is it 4.44? It would be fun to have two slowish RS's duking it out on the track

gearing is 100% usdm/cdm 04 wrx. final gear is 3.90, but also 3.54.... center diff is 1.1:1 or something weird like that..... i'm still trying to figure it out

either way, it's longer than stock RS, and way way way longer than jdm RA gears

and there is no 'ish' about the slowness of my car. it's just slow. haha.
