Curious, anybody on VIC had experience with this turbo, VF22?

Told it's slightly bigger than the Sti turbo's.
A proper search is in order, but just thought I would pop the question

i think it's bigger than the VF39, and spools a couple hundred rpms faster

on a 2.0 this turbo gives the best top end performance and with a very good tune and supporting mods should net you 270whp or more.

on a 2.5 I have heard that you lose some of the top end due to the larger motor but your midrange is awesome.

this would be a great upgrade to a 06/07 WRX looking for alot of midrange power.

the 22 is a good turbo for the ej20....but is too small IMO for the ej25*...i wouldn't go any smaller than an 18G (600cfm @ 14.7 for a td05h) for a 2.5L....i have an 18G and its ok....but for me it's still too small.....

the vf22 is the largest turbo IHI makes flowing 440 @ 14.7 CFM IIRC...same 35 lb/min compressor as the vf34 which flows about 430, but a larger turbine housing (p20 vs p18)....

the vf39 is very similar to the vf34 but the housing is a little different....faster spool but a little less up top....

The '34 will outspool a '39, not by much but still. A regular '30 will spool almost identically to the '39.

I've heard very good things about the '22. This is a great deal on a great turbo for someone who loves top end. Good seller too.

Thanks guys for all the kind words, ya its basically a nice turbo for a 2.0. like I said, I have read/heard on a 2.5 it makes for great midrange over the 39 but doesn't have the top like it would on a 2.0.
