Default HELP, My fenders are rubbing on my back tires....

Hey Everyone,

I just purchased some new rims and rubber for my 08 WRX and I have a slight problem. The back tires rub when I go over potholes or bumps on the road. I had called a subaru dealer in Ottawa to find out if they would fit properly before buying them and they said yes.

what I bought: 18"x8.5 ADR Propulsion
Nexen N7000 235/40R18

The rims and tires look sick on the car and I want to keep it that way. I figure my only two options is to

1) Have the rim's inside bolt plate shaved down 2 cm; or
2) Roll my back fenders (I'd hate to do this on my new car!!!)

Can Anyone offer any helpful advice ? Where do I go or who do I contact to have this kind of work done??? I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

roll them man, its not as bad as it sounds, just keep constant heat on surface.

They have a 35 offset and a 71 center bore.
I would definitely recommend rolling the fenders and you may want to get some hub centric rings if you don't already have.

you can run more camber in the rear so it won't rub (you might need camber bolts), I would roll the fenders with a heat gun and fender roller. I just had to roll my FRONTS

You know what, I have the same issue, works XD9 18X8 +45 with 245/40/18. I love my wheels and would like to keep them, I am on stock suspension btw. Whenever i do hard turns and bumps, fender would hit the tire and scrape some off. Either roll fenders, or camber is the only way out.
