How often do you have to replace that?

Just a small update, I threw a P0442 tonight. It had popped up when we first started tuning it but it just says "EVAP leak small". Not sure if this would have a direct relation with my problems but I'm sure one of you guys would be able to give a good answer.

replace fuel pump? that seal around the tank can be a pain if you dont replace the gasket new. those stud/bolts are only 9#s of tq btw. could be a loose/beat gas cap too.

Yeah I was just thinking it could be that rubber gasket around the tank assembly seal or w/e. It didn't throw the code until after I did the fuel pump so it only makes sense that it has something to do with the fuel pump assembly. We had a hell of a time getting that gasket on. I will look at it when I do the Walbro and make sure that it is on there correct.

Also, NGK V Power plugs are ok with Ethanol, correct? I didn't buy Iridiums because that is a little more money than I had to spend.

i took that seal out 3 times before i decided to replace it new. i also overtightened the nut and broke a stud which to me doesn't look fixable.

Don't need to replace it. You can take them apart and clean them.

Yes...it's in the same exact spot where the OEM filter was.

boost was like 23 tapering to 21 - his ID1000's are hitting 98%

timing was 20-21 up to 25-26.....theres still more in it.....

as for the turbo....it really just depends on what powerband u want. i would rather have something in the FP Green - GT30 range make 30-50whp more on e85

That is some damn good power on that turbo. I am leaning more and more towards the HTA68 for this summer.

Looking forward to getting some numbers from my car into this thread once it's done. Previously I was running a stock engine STi with a 20G, TMIC, EWG, and 850cc injectors and making 370 WHP on E85 for 80K miles.

Then my oil pickup broke.

Now I'm slowly assembling a sleeved, pinned, 2.6L (102mm bore), 9:1 compression ratio engine with forged internals, coated pistons, +1mm valves, dual valve springs, an FMIC, larger EWG, 1200cc injectors, and some other upgrades. Same turbo for now though. Hopefully I can have it all done next month, break it in, and have E85 numbers some time in June!

well guys im moving on from the id1000s as they just not enough fuel to push the turbo a lil bit more... o and i also need a clutch...

my plans are to end up with a rotated gtx30 in the distant future, so im thinking of going to 2000s now just to have them and be ready. how many different 2000s are there? i know id and five 0, does DW have 2000s?

i also think i wanna see how far i can push this stock 5spd.. i know that might sound stupid but i mean look at what ive put my trans through, i could only guess like 200-300+ passes at the track and who knows how much legal street races. i think i got a special trans from subaru lol. ive ran 12.0 @ 118 on the stock motor with it. and have cut numerous 1.6s, plenty of 1.7s and 1.8s... its got special sauce...

personally speaking I like tuning the ID2000'S,have not worked with fic's or five0's but heard they were alright for the price.I just always try to buy the best for my own car and get my customers to do the same so there are no problems down the road. You know the old saying "you get what you pay for".gl with your decision and parts choice.
