JasV11 went 9.71 today letting off early and coasting down to a 135 trap. We'll be upgrading the ignition system before testing again.

Watch full screen or it gets cropped. The Subaru in the other lane on the rear facing shots runs 11s.

good for you though. i'm sure seeing the country had its highlights.
Not quite all the way. Nevada, Montana, and Wyoming are E85 dead zones.

My boys are 7 and 5 so they do pretty well in the car. A lot better than I anticipated.

That leaves about 90% of the state a power vacuum. I drove through some desolate areas and almost ran out of gas. When off the interstate or main highways, there arent any signs warning of lack of services. At least on I80 or Hwy 50, they have the decency to tell you there arent any services for the next 150 miles.

We left mono lake and took the extraterrestrial highway through Rachael, where I didnt see an operating service station, to Caliente. Light came on as we pulled into the 1 gas station town. 320 miles on that tank, and 280 since we past the last gas station. Nothing like triple digit temps, absolutely zero signs of life, and less than a quarter tank of gas to get the heart racing.

LOL,

I'm here guys. Just been insane lately. Ive driven 3300 miles in less than 2 weeks to tune cars all over.

Skatin, JP has everything he needs. Ill email him today, but he already has the cable, basemap, and ecu-flash. I emailed him the map a month or so ago.

okay, i'm starting my e-85 conversion soon and i'm wondering what you guys would recommend to go along with an intercooler, fuel pump, and injectors. i've already got an ewg planned along with tgv delete, air pump delete, phenolic spacers, turbo inlet, and header. anything else short of a turbo? i just want to get as many things tuned for at once as i can. i'm hoping to get around 370-380whp with this setup. anything else i should consider? things i'm forgetting? things i should forget?

If your looking for 370, 380 tops:

dw300
dw1000cc

hta68

Anymore, go with 1300's and a 20g+ sized turbo

mikey, i wanna keep my stock turbo for now, i'll see how far that can take me and then upgrade it as for engine management, of course i forgot to mention i'll be using an ap. my tuner uses that exclusively. he also highly recommends the ID1000's and the walbro 255. mikey, you're the e-85 god, what kind of power do you think i'd see on a mild tune with that setup on a dynojet?

yes, i know it's one of those questions you can't answer here

Actually, I can answer it. On a real dynojet, the 09-11's typically put down 350whp. They can make 360 if pushed hard, but its not worth the extra timing if your not trying to get that last .05 seconds in the 1/4.

ID's are fine. I use them. But dealing with DW and ID every day, the DW's are just better in terms of flow and tune-ability. The ID's need some cranking adjustments (on pump gas) and flow around 900cc.

The DW's need no adjustments on pump, and the typical stock cranking values multiplied by 1.3 on e85

We are going to put my car back together and see if its something else wrong. Try to fix small things. I'm also going to take it to a mechanic to see what they think it is.

you don't anticipate the tgv delete and header will add much to that? same tuner did an e-85 tune on another 2010 wrx and got 352 without a header, inlet, and tgv delete. i assume phenolic spacers don't really add any power, but just a good idea to do.

I'll be getting my 06 sti tuned on e85 at DB performance (dyno dynamics) in a couple weeks. Any thoughts on this setup? What should I expect/shoot for? Where should I stop on the stock motor if I want it to be safe to beat on for 10-20k before a rebuild and larger turbo?

2006 STI - stock motor/turbo - 75k
ACT clutch
3in TBE
APS 70mm intake
Big TMIC
GrimmSpeed xpipe, uppipe
GrimmSpeed ported exhaust manifolds, intake manifold and TGV deletes
GrimmSpeed 3mm phenolic
GrimmSpeed crank pulley
GrimmSpeed 3-port BCS
DW1100cc sidefeeds
DW300lph pump

1-step colder plugs?

Cheers fellas.

It sounds like a nice setup, the stock plugs are fine. Mbc or ebcs?

Oh, GrimmSpeed 3-port right now. I could just as easily put an mbc in there though.
