Yes they are higher in price but i would not want to go cheap on something such as injectors...

They idle perfectly on pump gas and of course E85 an they are consistent across the board!

maybe in your case, but that doesn't mean they will do the same in his case.

plus, i'm sure 2150cc is overkill by a HUGE amount for mecpgh's setup. i love the FIC injectors (i run the bluemax 1250's in my bugeye currently), but there are other sizes offered that would be much better matched to his setup...not to mention other sizes that would be MUCH cheaper for him.

Anyone running a wrx factory 5spd with e85? hows it holding up, and how many miles have you put on it? And how long do you think you have tell you will need to upgrade your tranny?

Already made over 400 whp with the five o1600s i previously had installed, og fp green 23psi, ewg, el headers, fmic, stock block stock fuel lines, Perrin V1 rails, dw300 pump. More than likely i am going to build myself a rotated setup soon and a NEW fuel system.

If your looking for quality in five-0 injectors your crazy. Even the top feeds are junk. Doesn't matter if there 850 or 1400cc. You may get a set of 850cc to tune out decent. But, put some miles on them and they eventually start having problems. Why risk a lower than 50% chance that the first injector set you get tunes out good when you can buy a better brand for 100 bucks more and get a good set right out of the box. Five-0 injectors are just to hit and miss to even risk using there ****. That whole company can kiss my ass. They have been selling the same crap for injectors for years. They had the same problems when they first started selling them as they do now. The product hasn't gotten better over the past few years. That tells me the company doesn't care about quality at all. Sure they may swap a set with no troubles. But, the second set is usually one to give problems also. And its usually the same problems as the first set.

Ya i agree i was only thinking about seeing if i could trade then out but i really don't want another set of them either. Someone sell your 700+hp E fuel system to me used so i don't have to go through all the hassle from scratch

well, if my car doesn't sell in the next month, i am planning on parting it out, and you can buy my fuel system. it isn't quite 700whp on E type good, but it is good to probably 550whp airboy on stock fuel pressure. with some additional fuel pressure, it would probably get you to 600+whp airboy.

I'm a little confused and maybe I haven't done enough research, but my understanding was that FiveO, like any other company that sells injectors, doesn't "build" injectors; they mod or flow match sets of injectors built by other companies. For example, as I understand it, the 026IMP1000 injectors they sell are just Bosch EV14's. FiveO buys them in bulk and tests and flow matches them and sells them in sets. Is that not the case?

If not, what it is about FiveO injectors that makes them so inferior to say the FIC injectors? Where does FIC get their injectors and what makes them better?

I'm not wanting to argue or debate. I simply want to understand what makes them so much better.

mine is actually a pretty simple setup compared to alot of people's...

--FIC Bluemax 1250cc low impedance injectors
--P&L Motorsports injector resistor pack
--DW300 fuel pump
--Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump

...the fuel pump with the boost-a-pump on it can flow almost 370lph@stock fuel pressure with 30psi of boost. the injector flow sheets from FIC have the injectors flowing 1275cc@43.5psi, give or take about 5cc.

like i said, i don't know just yet if it is getting parted out, but as of right now, there really hasn't been a whole lot of serious interest in buying my car so...odds are pretty good that it will be getting parted out in about 3-4 weeks. i will keep you posted on things though.

Anyone with an 08+ WRX or STI (ie. plastic fuel pump housing) know which color wire needs to be spliced into to hard wire the fuel pump? Like this, but for the newer models:

I'm not sure what type injectors they buy and sell. Whatever they are doesn't matter much when bottom line is, THEY SUCK! Five-0 just keeps selling the same crap injectors for years and doesn't try selling a better injector. They would rather just replace the tons of bad ones or better yet, have the customer just eat the money spent on there injectors only to spend more money on a better set. I've seen that done more than once.

You do realize they sell the same type of injectors other company's sell right? Denso, Bosch, etc. The EV14 injector body is the same injector ID sells.

Yeah... it seems like every injector distributor has their people that love them and their people that hate them.

My personal experience with FiveO's has been a good one. They seem to offer the same injectors as the other distributors but at a lower price. I've seen lots of people that have good luck with them and I've seen others that haven't. I noticed a lot of people having trouble with their side feeds for whatever reason. I think it was actually you that I asked on RomRaider what you recommend for sidefeeds and you steered me towards Deatschwerks which I've been recommending them ever since but I continue to recommend FiveO's topfeed Bosch EV14 injectors and haven't seen a singe issue in at least 10 sets of them now.

I just want to understand more about the mysterious world of fuel injectors. They seem like a pretty basic piece of hardware really with only a few notable differences in design type. I am by no means saying a person should just go get injectors from anywhere and they will be great, but it just seems odd that experiences vary so much between one set to the next.

It may be the same body but the final product that they sell sucks. Why do there injectors have so much trouble? Because just an injector body does not make a whole injector. I'm pretty sure they prol buy the final injector from a company (prol in china). There are very few shops that actually sell products that they actually make themselves, especially in the import scene. Most of these name brand products that you see advertised in mags and online are actually made in china and other countrys, very few actually come from japan or the US, and most are cheaply made.

What!? No. I believe you are a little off base here. I have a pretty strong knowledge of international business and how the aftermarket parts world works. If they sold Chinese junk inside a Bosch housing they would be shut down quickly

They don't put junk in the housings, its the tips and pintle that are often modified by a company and then sold under another company's name . Strong knowledge there son.

Regardless of where they are manufactured. I am on my second set, still having issues with them and am very reluctant to put a third in.
