No, I was actually confused about what the last numbers meant...there isn't any reason to be ugly about it.

I don't know you.

Your post lacked as much explanation as his. You just said it confused you. You didn't say what aspect. Don't point the attention at me for being "ugly" just because I was honest.

You may not know me, but we have had plenty of interactions here on Nasioc...conversations seem to always end with you being 'honest' with someone about your opinions. You can be honest without being ugly.

Well, you can't.....but it is possible.

Only map he has. This is from the old e70 tune that spun a rod bearing and bent all the wrist pins at around 4k miles.
Timing was increased for the e98 tune but I don't know by how much. The aem has been sent back to get checked.

Idle timing is strange

Important to note that this is a hybrid engine with oem gasket and Cnc head chambers. Not sure of cr.
E98 map has ~2* more than what you see here, and the knock sensor calibration table was left alone, just like aem sends it. The car always thought it was knocking because knock voltage exceeded the threshold even at idle. If there was ever a quiet moment of the knock sensor it could add back in up to 4.92*. They won't be tuning the car again.

Could hot weather cause E85 to lean out under WOT?

if the ethanol content became higher like going from winter blend to summer blend but you should be able to log the same closed loop fuel adjustment and see how much more the + or - is even at an idle it should be affected between the winter(usually 70 to 75%E) and summer blend(82-88%E).

Although I agree with seasonal blends changing AFR's, but it might also be worth looking at your MAF Temp Compensation. They will also lean out as the weather gets warmer.

^^ We had this problem with our Turbo LS-3 Camaro at school. Anyone know where this table is in the Accessport software?

It's the maf compensation (intake temp). the table is at the bottom of the list right above the throttle tables in the AP

A friend linked me to this post over on FT-86 club. I guess they are having a big E85 eating fuel filters scare right now:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37706

I'm at 14,000 miles and over 1 year on straight E85 (E70) with no observed side effects. The BRZ/FRS fuel sump system doesn't look exactly like the one in the LGT & 08+ WRX/STi but its pretty similar in that the filter lives inside a sealed part of the pump housing. Its kind of annoying that is part cannot be checked or replaced (to my knowledge) without replacing the whole housing.

I suspect this incident is due to something other than E85 itself. I think it might be bad fuel or additives and there isn't much data besides one guy's pictures.

Has anyone with the plastic sump style pump housing ran issues any issues that could be related to E85?

I'm swapping in a Walbro 405 soon so I'll be inspecting my sump but I thought I see if anyone else has any feedback on this.

I don't think our cars have a filter like that on the return. Either that or I missed it. I have been straight E85 daily driven for over 2 years now and no issues. I've had my pump housing out several times. I know other local guys (08+) that have been longer too. Definitely something I've considered though. I will keep checking.

I was hoping you'd chime in so thanks for doing so. I wish I had taken the time to understand exactly how the sump system works when I had it out. You can see through the plastic that there is a filter inside the top half that houses the pump. It looks like a rolled paper filter like what's inside the pre 08 STi filter housing. I don't know if this is filter is just used for fuel being sucked into the sump or if the return line flows through this or not.

From what I remember the return does feed into that but not directly. The filter you're talking about is on the feed side. The return goes through a few hoses and valves and some portion of it makes it back into that section. Maybe someone else can explain better.

There are no 1600cc injectors worth owning. Sell and buy ID2000s.

Dont want to be a debbie downer but i dont want you waste time and money.

Should you choose to not take heed... 1600s will be adequate with proper pump

199-C is a little small for a 300sx don't you think?
