Default Ques search can't Answer

I saw someone had in their profile that their car was "stage 4"? I did seaches on here and google, do you know what it is I kindly asked the guy and he said " Why don't you search first?" I wasn't being sarcastic as much as curious. Thks in advance. (Not sure if I posted in the wrong place or not.. But I guess you can consider this a build ques.)

It's just the old terminology that we used to define the sort of mods doen to a car.

For example: Stage 1 may be just a reflash, Stage 2 would be exhaust and reflash, stage 3 would be stage 2 plus injectors and a bigger IC, stage 4 would be all that plus a turbo and so on.

It has nothing to do with the motor usually.

I class my build as the Stage "Mick should have bought a Porsche from the beginning"

lol^ I have unequal-length headers, 3" up-pipe, bellmouth dwnpipe and street tune, so I'm a basic stage 2 right?

Forget the stages as they are a marketing trick by folks who sell parts in predetermined packages. Just learn about each of the mods and how they work together and you'll be fine.

Actually if you cast your minds back to the days of the TurboXS UTEC their was a Stage 4. That would be uppipe/downpipe/exhaust, injectors (550 pinks), VF30/34/39 Turbo, FMIC and the UTEC.

Brings back memories of the old Vishnu vs TurboXS threads.
