Question New to the list and have a question

I have examined several Impreza sites and yours is the best.

I am going to buy a WRX in a month (after escrow closes on our new home) and I need feedback on sedan VS wagon.

I know the wagon is 80lbs heavier which I think is good for auto-x (more neutral) but I just heard that the front track of the sedan is an inch wider. Is this true?

I am compromising with my wife, who doesn't want a Suraru, in that I'll get the 5 spd. and she'll get the versatility of a wagon.

Can I be just as competitive with a wagon? How about any changes of any after-market parts between the two?

Thanks for helping me decide!!

DREW

Wink

if i was in the market for a WRX... really...

i would get the wagon!!

yes... it's narrower than the sedan... but man.. it's the total sleeper!! your wife will be satisfied... and you will get your subaru...

aftermarket parts...
are not readily available yet, but should be soon.. and should be interchangable.. there will be lots of goodies out there for the wagon...

if your wife has questions.. have her email me!! i'll talk to her.. ya know.. womans touch and all

The sedan has something like 20mm wider track. Things like sway bars & strut-tower bars probably won't be interchangable. Aftermarket struts, springs, wheels, brakes, shifters, etc., will work on either model.

The wagon will be a little more top heavy which you might feel that on a tight course. Cops won't pay much attention to a wagon - big PLUS.

I love my wagon, I think it looks better than the sedan.

And that Corvette I was chasing last Saturday up near Rim is probably STILL scratching his head!

It's time for my other half to get a new car.Too bad she dont like wagons or hatch backs, cause after seing one up close (Garrit's at NY meet rally blue) I loved it even in that lighter blue.
And maybe cops would look at me less,(when driving it he...he)cause I'm almost 30 but look 20.
