Default engine rattling at abt 3-4k rpm

appreciate any answers or ideas on this . My engine has a rattling sound just around 3-4k rpms, is it my connecting rod bearings? My car doesn't miss, hesitate or anything and drives perfectly fine and has been like this for a while but i would like to fix the problem before it develop into something more serious .

Could be. I just had my motor go out with the same thing you have listed above.

Is it a built motor?

nah its totally stock internals, but is it wise to just change the rod bearings and maybe put some forge pistons in the same time.looking for the least costly alternative.

I hada built block go with the same symptoms. Probably a rod bearing but make sure its not just flapping somewhere in the boost system first... It you're looking to stay under 400, pistons and bearings should be fine.

thanks currently at 335WHP but 400 would be good enough for the streets, so i guess i would just change the pistons, main and rod bearings for now.thanks

Cool, good luck man and make sure to get a tight machine shop job with all the bores/rings and get them to balance the parts before they go in...
