Question rear diff lsd question

i have a v4 sti transission that im am swapping into my 96 wagon. i am getting a 4.44 ring and pinion to swap into either the stock r160 open diff or into an 02 wrx lsd diff and i have the option to get an apsuretrac torsen lsd with the r&p.

question:
will i be able to use 02 wrx axles with the suretrac lsd or do i need different axles. what axles will i need if the 02 axles wont fit?

IMO it's easier to grab a 4.444 complete rear diff from an Auto Forester, Auto Outback, Auto Legacy 2.5 GT non-turbo, then drop a clutch LSD like KAAZ in it and the newer R160 axles like 98+; non-vlsd and vlsd axles will plug right in.

Much simpler than taking the diff apart to get the pinion gear out. I have a 4.444 rear diff that's welded. It's for my fun times so I have it just sitting until whenever I wanna play I just swap diffs and I can go out and do donuts!

i got the new diff for the wagon today, straight from jdmland. i now have a complete 4.444 v4 sti drivetrain w/
apsuretrac lsd to drop in for testing before the motors goes in.
big thanks to wopdeeze on nasioc for the hookup, first the jdm projectors, then the diff, what'll be next? :batman:

I was gonna warn you about the different rear axles with the early suretrac's but it looks like you have the right ones
