Question 2.2 Performance?

99 Impreza L Sedan with a 2.2, what if anything can be done to increase power in the engine without major work or money. New to the brand, so I'm very in the dark. Bought the car for other reasons besides performance, but all the info on the site has peaked my intrest in trying some things out with the car.

just about anything that can be done to the RS can be done to the L. The only difference is the headers and you ay want to use a smaller diameter piping for an exhaust.
