Kinda dumb question about exhausts!

OK guys help me out with this... someone is selling an STi ver 3 exhaust and sent me this...
"Downpipe,mid-section and rear box,good condition £75."
questions:
1. downpipe = pipe that connects the headers to the midpipe, including cats?
2. rear box = muffler?
thats about $105 not including shipping. really i just want the muffler. what do you guys think?

shipping is gonna kill you. it will probably double the price. not worth it IMHO. why not just get a good old made-in-the-USA exhaust, or get a STi muffler from someone who has already imported a few in a big container crate (to save you on shipping)?

I'm kinda doubting that you'll need the downpipe section!

yah, edwin, i think that shipping is going to kill me. all i really want is the muffler. ok, mr. patriot, pop quiz. i want a quiet SS performance muffler with a single tip that wont fit a watermelon in it, that i can bolt to a stromung 2.25" midpipe. what do i buy? what do i buy?

Well, I now have a Magnaflow muffler on my car - 2.5", and it looks and sounds real good. I'd go get the 2.25" muffler and have a muffler shop handle hooking it up to the Stromung midpipe. It's not loud at all, especially with a resonator. I'd get a resonator if you are concerned about noise. It also helps with the droning at cruise. My car is actually quieter between 50-75mph (cruising speed) than it is at 30 mph.

You could buy the muffler from Rallispec where I got mine, but I suspect you can probably get them locally too. I really like the tip on it - it's not huge and obnoxious looking, but it definitely doesn't look stock.
