Default My 2003 bugeye to 2007 STi Conversion

I have a 2003 Bugeye I am working on converting over to an 07 STi. By converting over I mean; Dash, carpet, seats, peadals, full wiring harness, built 257 with avcs heads, drivertrain, fuel tank, rear bumper and lights, etc.. I am talking everything I possibly can. I have found that at the current time with the economy the way it has been parts are much easier to come by. I have been stocking up on parts for this build for about a year now, and I have everything I need now to build up a one of a kind bugeye. When I am done with this build I hope to have something that is very unique and quite fast.
As far as mods go I will be building up a new EJ257 to handle at least a 35R. I currently have a UR 40R kit on the car, but I want something a little more streetable. I will be following up with pics as I make progress on this build. Anyone who may have any kind of helpful information on what I am about to attempt is encouraged to post up here. Please try not to flame my thread to bad.

Thanks man. I have thought long and hard about that.. I love them both, but I am gonna stick with the original front end. Mostly becuase I already have a full chargespeed body kit on the car, and I was able to trade the rear bumper for the 04-07 style, but the front won't be that easy and this kit is not cheap. Plus I like the bugeye just a little more.. The more modern look would be great, but way to much work for something thats really not worth it.

I think you should consider the front end swap a little more, IMO the hawk eye front looks so sweet and clean.

The front end conversion is way more work than you would think. There is a ton of hacking and welding that would have to take place. Besides I already have an 07 Limited STi, I am shooting for something very different with this project. Thanks for the all the feedback though. It finally stopped snowing here so I will be getting some pics up today.

Congrats on finally getting all your parts together, looks like it's going to be a crazy fun project. If you end up selling the 02-03 tails, I'm in need of the drivers side so let me know! Anyways good luck!

I dont think its that hard to do the front end but I respect your choice of keeping your bugy however I want you to know that 07 to 02/03 are the hardest swap to do, you probably know that but I'm telling you just in case you didn't know.
PS: Wow thats a very nice House you got there, it has to be very safe since you have a cop as a neighbor .

The front end isn't that bad, I am more thinking I want to keep it original for resale. If I ever decide to sell it, I don't wanna deal with trying to explain why it looks like an 07, but the title says 03. Nor do I wanna have anyone doubt my abilities and the integrity of the front end of the car. I knew getting into this build I was gonna have a job on hand. But whats the fun of doing it the easy way? lol..

P.S. Thank you. And I would hope that its safe here, I am also in law enforcement as are 4 other guy's on this street..
