Default the start of my rebuild

Hey everyone, to start off i have a 2007 wrx with an 05 sti tranny, and bought an 04 sti bare block. i will be running a minimum blouch dom3 at 26 psi w/ meth, maybe e85 as well, or if funds are alot better ill go with a gt35r with meth and e85/pump.

so far i have bought the following:

-a crank that will be cut .01 over
-acl race bearings main and rod both .01 over
-eagle rods
-wiseco 100mm pistons
-arp headstuds
-gates timing belt

what other things do you recomend for the bareblock?

-I'm thinking new oil pump, the 08 11mm sti one
-a new water pump
-and 10105AA590 subaru overhaul gasket kit from subaru genuine parts
-new oil pan and oil pick up tube? if so what are the 04 sti part numbers?
-new oil cooler? if so what are the 04 sti part numbers?

however upon reading i might skip the oem oil pickup tube, not sure yet as the cheapest aftermarket tube ive seen is 195 dollars.

a friend of mine who builds 4g63's and supra motors claims that i dont need a new oil pan, just to clean it out really well with brake cleaner and wipe it clean

another thing i read was to change out the oil cooler, you can build one on summit racing for around 200-300 dollars, anyone recomend this as well?

keep in mind all i have is the 2004 sti bare block and my heads, if theres anything else i should be needing, such as certain connectors or anything please chime in.

Oil pan - 11109AA131
Go with an aftermarket pickup tube or maybe just get the Moroso oil pan.

Did you spin a rod bearing or something on your 07 block? Just clean up the old parts if you didn't so you can reuse the oil pan and oil cooler or just go aftermarket.

People recommend the 11mm 08 pump if you've got looser bearing clearances so I just got that one and shimmed it.

While you pull the motor out you might as well remove the air pump system. Buy the block off plates for the heads from KS Tech or something and remove the whole system.

no my 07 block is still running strong! the reason why i wanted the 04 sti oil cooler is for the clearance of the perrin equal length headers, it says it doesnt fit with the 06/07 wrx oil cooler, so if someone has that part number id appreciate it, perrin only shows the 02-05 wrx one.

yea i think i will re-use my oil pan, ill flush it clean with brake fluid and call it a day.

but i still need the water pump number, i keep searching and find the 02-05 wrx one, are they the same water pump?

upon reading i also see that everyone is also replacing timing belt tensionors? is there any thing else as well? it seems alot of info is scattered between the built motor discussion and the 2.0 and 2.5 litre discussion

i just talked to my engine builder, he said my since my motor only has 20k miles i should be fine using my water pump, and all tensioners and pulleys until my next 60k mile service
