no fuel?

Ok i have had a serious stalliing problem for a year now. Finally figured out that its the fuel pump shutting off. after a few cycles of turning the key off then on. off then on, finally i'll hear the fuel pump whine and some relays click. and all is good until the next time it stalls and i have to cycle the ignition a few times and then she fires up again. I am finallly fed up and i am going to fix it this. any help on where to start or any possible solutions are appreciated PLEASE NO "JUST TAKE IT TO THE DEALER" PLEASE, its out of warranty and its not an option unless your willing to pay. thanks guys and girls

anyone know how the pump is wired to what relay and what connection on the key switch???? c.mon i thought you guys were the guru's here.????

Your best bet is to get ahold of a service manual for your car year. That will give you a definite wiring diagram and will show you all the different connections in the car. I don't have a set for my car yet, but I've used a friend's set to do some wiring stuff in my car. It helps a ton and if you're going to be working on your car's subsystems like that, I'd say it's a wortyh investment.

I can't help otherwise, as I'd need to look at those diagrams to figure things out. But I can definitely say those books will have the answer. YOu can most likely order them from the dealer's service desk.

dont know, ive been looking for one, for 1 yr now, and chilton doesnt make one.

You can look at subaruparts.com but you'll have to buy all the accompanying books from the previous years. However, if you make a trip to the dealer, you can get the specific year books (there are 8 or so, each covering different parts/systems of the car) for cheaper. There is nothing out from Chilton or any other kind of service book.
