Default Is it just me, or has Steak N Shake gone down the tubes...

...since they started their whole "trying to offer cheap combos" approach? A regular steakburger with mustard relish and everything used to be Jesus in a sheet of wax paper, now it tastes like dog food. The last couple times I've been forced to get super-late dinner due to my assbackwards schedule and have stopped there, they seem to have taken a huge nosedive.

Or has Five Guys completely spoiled me?

Steak and shake has always been decent but way over priced... every single one of them in my whole region has gone out of business.

I shouldn't say region, because apparently there are still some left in FL.

There are still a ton around here, but ever since they became around ~$1 more for a typical combo than McD's/BK/Wendys/etc. they've gotten ****ty.

Oh well, this just ensures I haz no cheezburgers except for my occasional twice a month Five Guys fix. Probably for the better.

I had some last night - the whole order was wrong & it was cold. last friday I had some after going out & it tasted a lot better - but I was drunk. btw, when you order their shakes ask them to make it with the real ice cream. they use a shake base otherwise. doesn't even compare. I worked there overnight when I was 18.

Frisco sauce = basically a thousand island/french style sauce. The bread is grilled on the same griddle as the burgers for maximum dripping deliciousness.

It's honestly probably the only thing I truly love to eat that is on the thisiswhyyourfat list. They are epically bad for you.

HOLY ****.

I don't even want to think about how many of those I've downed when I was working late nights at clubs for a couple years.
