Its answer? A solar carport than can generate juice for the EVs parked under it.

Each PowerPark canopy can apparently generate 1.5kW of peak power in optimal conditions, and Romag estimates that even in the less sunny parts of the British Isles so most of it then each could generate up to 1100kWh of power over the course of a year.

Don't see how this would work in Vancouver, too much rain. Would be cool though, but I think solar has to get cheaper first. That, and more efficient in utilizing all bands of light.

Manufacturing costs of a solar panel > energy it will produce over its working lifetime.

I'm worried that the rush to neutralize all carbon emissions will lead governments to make some bad choices with taxpayer dollars.

too much rain in vancouver? perhaps use a series of generators like how they build dams, but at a much, much smaller scale.

Good idea, but I've no idea how you attach that to a roof. I like run-of-river projects because the turbines return the water to the river, so the water levels remain the same. If you think of how many rivers we have in BC, its practically endless.
