hey man get ya a set of NGKs their nice spark plugs, better than the stock champions, there about $2.00 a piece I think, as for the wires I wouldn't change them unless you have a high mileage car, or their cracked. Good Luck

Check you local auto stores as they might have them and be cheaper, thats where I picked mine up.
For the V-power's the manual actually states it as one of the replacements. part # BKR6E-11 with a .044 gap.

? plug temp?
NGK's plug finder says PFR5B-11 platinum for MY00
2.5L in a legacy that is 1 step hotter than the BKR6E-11
BUT they say BKR6EVX-11 platinum for MY00 RS 2.5L
I havent looked in my manual for a number yet...
Hmmmm....
is there a diffrence in the 2.5L in the MY00 ???
I too have the factory JUNK champions
and even occasionaly get pinging uphill if I use 87oct.
and I only have a K&N filter...
I never thought on a $25,000 car they would use $0.75 garbage
there I go thinking again
do I want a colder plug like the 6 instead of recomended 5???

i dont think so, i went through a web site www.ngksparkplugs.com, they came up with those being compatible for 97-01 (i decided to go through i search for diff car years). you might want to look into it through your mechanic, although im yet to find a place locally that sells them, when i do im buying them since most recommend it.
