Default AP going back to stock question

I currently have an opensource stage 2 from the previous owner of my. I'm going to buy an AP and tune it back to stock and put the stock downpipe and midpipe back on until I get my EWG uppipe kit to cure my boost creep.

Now I did some research on the AP and when you install it, it saves the stock settings that its at so you can tune it back to that whenever you want. Since mine is stage 2, will it save stage 2 as stock because thats my current state? Or can I just install it, tune it to stock, then unnistall it then install it again so it will actaully be the stock settings it saves ... I just confused myself lol.

With the latest firmware of the AP it won't detect the previous installation of OS, so it will save your OS map onto the AP unit then once uninstalling it will put it back onto the ECU.

Cheers

As I understand it with the APv2 your current flash would become the stock map.
To return to a REAL stock map you have 2(possibly 3 or 4 options?)
1) Get an APv1, flash it with any map. Then revert to stock. The APv1 places a hardcoded stock map when you unmarry it.
2) Find someone with a cable to flash a stock map to your ECU. This is the easiest as you can probably find someone local with a cable.
Optional...
3) You could send your ECU in to a place like Cobb to reset to stock (similar to option 1). They charge a fee for this.
4) Take the car to the dealer and they can update you ECU which will fouce a stcok map. They too will charge and quite a bit more then Cobb!

^^
Option 4- If whomever is using a V2 AP it will lock out other softwares from overwriting the AP flash. The only way to remove that license is to unmarry with the AP or send it into Cobb ($40+shipping).
